The use of ceramic microspheres ensures the reflection of up to 90% of the heat from the sun. THERMO TREND - ROOF coating extends useful life of a roof by limiting its expansion and contraction (thermal cycling). Suitable for maintenance of roof systems made of concrete, ceramics, metal, roofing paper etc.
THERMO TREND-ROOF is applied as easily as conventional dispersion paint with thermal and protective properties being achieved for the coat of mere 0.3 mm in thickness. The paint can be applied, using roller, brush or spray, to clean, mechanically sound substrates including built-up, modified asphalt, coated and galvanized sheet, metal, polyurethane foam or concrete previously primed with suitable preparations and paints. The elastomeric coatings so produced are close-fit protective membranes. Once cured the coating provides a water-tight barrier which at the same time is permeable to water vapour. It has no seams or joints which is the case with conventional roofing systems.
THERMO TREND-ROOF coats can be used to cover new roof surfaces or to restore existing ones. They can be applied as part of a roof system during the initial installation stage, in retrofit (as an alternative to roof replacement), or as a maintenance application.
Superb properties of THERMO-TREND ROOF are achieved through special acrylic resin, which makes the coats highly elastic, and high content (approx. 50%) of ceramic microspheres of several microns in size.
